On March 29, 2025, Assoc. Prof. Ivan Stoynev, on invitation by the Notarial Association of Plovdiv, delivered a lecture on the topic of “Current Issues in the Application of EU Law in Notarial Practice.” In the course of the presentation, Assoc. Prof. Stoynev addressed the following topics:
-impact and relevance of EU law to the status of notaries and notary proceedings
-EU law in the field of cross-border succession
-EU law on the property relations in marriages and in relation to de-facto unions
-EU law in the field of company law and change of seat of companies
-the impact of sanctions against Russia on notary practice and proceedings
Following the lecture, a Q&A session was held, during which Assoc. Prof. Stoynev, together with Attorney Emanuil Kolev, responded to various practical questions related to notarial work.
